Scott grew up in Wilson, NC. He attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill for undergraduate school and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology.
Scott chose to attend the Charleston School of Law because “he wanted to be a part of something new and sustainable.” “The reputation of the founders, the faculty, and the city of Charleston sealed the deal.”
While in law school, Scott was actively involved with Crisis Ministries Homeless Justice Project and served as a member of the Moot Court Board. After graduation, Scott worked for three years in the Dorchester County Public Defender Office. He currently works for the Savage Law Firm in Charleston, SC, in the areas of criminal defense, personal injury, and professional licensing.
Scott continues his community involvement from law school by serving as a member of the Crisis Ministries Board Advancement Committee and volunteers with the Homeless Justice Project by providing pro bono representation to shelter guests. Scott is a member of the James L. Petigru Inn of Court in Charleston. He also serves as a Special Olympics Committee Chairperson in partnership with the South Carolina Bar Young Lawyers Division.
Scott became a member of the Board of the Charleston School of Law Alumni Association in 2011.
