Sarah grew up in Anderson, SC. She graduated with her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Art History from Wofford College, where she spent a semester abroad in Florence, Italy.
Sarah earned her J.D. from the Charleston School of Law in 2010, where she received the 2010 Student Bar Association Senator of the Year Award and also served as the Publications Editor for the Federal Courts Law Review, as well as a student member of the James L. Petigru Inn of Court.
Sarah is admitted to practice in South Carolina and currently serves as the law clerk to The Honorable Stephanie Pendarvis McDonald, At-Large Circuit Court Judge.
Sarah lives in Charleston, SC, with her Boykin Spaniel, Lady. She is engaged to Mitchell Thornton, a fellow Charleston Law graduate.
