CSOL license on the line with CHE this Thursday

last chance
This Thursday, May 1, 2014, the Committee on Academic Affairs and Licensing of the South Carolina Commission on Higher Education will take up Infilaw’s application for a license to run the Charleston School of Law. The Committee’s recommendation may be taken up by the full CHE as soon as that same day.

Concerned alumni are implored to attend the May 1 meeting if at all possible. Although we do not anticipate having an opportunity to be heard (beyond the voluminous letters and materials submitted by individual alumni and the Alumni Board), our presence must be felt by the Commissioners whose votes will have a profound affect on the future of our school, for better or for worse. And because the meeting is being held in the midst of the Spring exam period, we must do double duty, since very few current students—those most affected by the Commission’s decision—will be able to attend.

The meeting will be held at the offices of the Commission on Higher Education at 1122 Lady Street in Columbia and will begin at 9:00 AM. The full Commission is set to meet immediately thereafter at 10:30 AM.
